Happy Sunday, Bear Families!

We hope our JBES families had a wonderful Fall Break filled with rest, relaxation, and time together!

We are excited to welcome our Bears back to school tomorrow! As we begin a new week, we are ready to get back into our routines, reconnect with our friends, and continue learning and growing together.

Let's return refreshed, focused, and ready to make every day count! Remember, every day matters, and every Bear makes a difference!

We can't wait to see those smiling faces tomorrow morning!

Stronger Together. Go Bears!

Toys at School Reminder

To create a focused, safe learning environment for all students, please leave toys at home. Toys can be distracting, get lost or broken, and disrupt learning. This includes Pokémon cards.

If a student brings a toy to school, the following procedures will be followed:

First Occurrence: The teacher gives a warning and reminds the student of the expectation.
Second Occurrence: The teacher collects the toy, labels it with the student's name, and sends it to the front office. A parent/guardian must pick up the item.

Thank you for your support in keeping our classrooms focused, safe, and ready for learning.

Lunch Reservations

Lunch Reservation Days: Tuesdays & Thursdays

Reservations Required: Please contact the front office at least 24 hours in advance to reserve your spot.

Pathway Promotion - 3rd & 4th Grade Information

Tennessee law requires 3rd and 4th grade students to demonstrate proficiency in English Language Arts (ELA) on the TCAP assessment to be promoted to the next grade.

For more information, email Dr. Tinnell at stinnell@mauryk12.org.

Attendance Matters!

Student attendance is monitored daily by the state. Each absence, whether excused or unexcused, is recorded as the state evaluates the total amount of instructional time missed.

It is very important that your child not miss more than four (4) days within a nine-week period. Missing sixteen (16) or more days during the school year leads to a significant loss of instructional time, which can impact your child’s academic progress and may result in retention.
